Michele Ceccarelli

Michele Ceccarelli

Michele is a distinguished professor at the University of Miami, where he leads the Cancer Bioinformatics lab. Prior to joining the University of Miami, he held prestigious positions at the University of Naples Federico II where he has served as the chair of the PhD Program in Computational and Quantitative Biology, and the University of Sannio, where he founded the bioinformatics lab. He has also made significant contributions as a Research Director at the Qatar Computing Research Institute in Doha, Qatar, and as Director of Computational Biology at ABBVIE Biotherapeutics in Redwood City, CA.

Michele's research is at the intersection of Machine Learning and Systems Biology in Cancer Genomics. His primary focus is on identifying the main drivers of cancer progression and drug resistance by analyzing and dissecting molecular networks.
